Successful Last Home Game for The Women’s Team

The Penn State Women's Team beat Davenport University 34-12.

The Penn State Women's Team played their last home game of the season on a very rainy Saturday, beating Davenport University 34-12.

The Nittany Lions struggled in the first 20 minutes of the game with penalty after penalty awarded to Davenport. All of the self inflicted pressure eventually ended in Davenport scoring the first try of the game and taking the lead 5-0.

The team was able to settle in after the initial try and kicked well to help move the team forward in the rainy weather.  Tries followed by 1st year scrumhalf Jaida Ruskin, 5th year Mindy Mckeehan, 2nd year Kat Irby and 2 tries by 4th year Natalie Bjorklund.  New sophomore wing Gabby Hoffmanm converted the team's first try with 3rd year Flyhalf Kat von Abo slotting 2 conversions and 1 penalty kick to round out PSU's 34 points.

Penn State travels to Army West Point Saturday Nov 6th for their final game of the season, kicking off at 2:30pm.
